Muscle Magazine's Ghost writers

Almost Every Pro wrote an Article or wrote a Column. but it came to my attention that Most of these Pros dont really write these Articles. Whoever wrote these articles are known as Ghost writers, and these people should get more credits than that.most articles outthere in these magazines are not the PRO'S OWN WORDS. Go figure. I heard Tom Prince  was one of the few who wrote his own articles. Wasn't he an English Professor or something like that

There's a reason magazines have editors. Their job is to screen articles, correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, among other things. In other words, magazines don't print their articles the way some people type on the forums (i.e. they don't use the letter, "U", instead of the word, "you"; they don't erroneously leave the word, "your" when it's obvious the word should be "you're", etc. They seldom use slang, unless it's involved in a direct quote.

I don't have a degree in English. But, I know how sentences should be formed. And, if I'm running a magazine, and someone submits an article with horrific grammar and spelling, I'm not publishing it as is, NO WAY!!!

I do understand your point, what I'm reffering to is that, Ghost writers are thinking for some of these guys.

I don't think anyone ever believed that Arnold wrote his ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MODERN BODYBUILDING, but Bill Dobbins extensively interviewed him, & the info in the book absolutely represents Arnold's views, & Arnold approved & authorized two editions.

You mean Ronnie didn't sit down at a word processor and type out that stuff that appears in Flex magazine's "Ask Mr. O" column?

Arnold's name appeared on dozens if not hundreds of article in Muscle Builder in the early 1970s, a time that he barely spoke english.  Ghost writing is nothing new.

Someone should ask Ronnie a series of questions exactly as they are presented in his FLEX column, and see if he uses the same level of vocabulary when responding.  Would be funny to see the answers side by side.

Good point. Look, these guys can barely enunciate what they are thinking in a coherent manner. Expecting them to write with any skill is beyond credulity. I figure if you asked most of them to 'pen' an article, they would reach for their box of crayolas. They are bb'ers, not scribes, for God's sake.
