Is steroid use widespread in Figure?

I was going through some back issues of MD and I read a concerning letter addressed to Dave Polumbo in his column Anabolic Freak. It was written by an NPC female Figure competitor asking Jumbo for advice on how to improve her steroid stack.

Needless to say I was more than a little concerned. Is steroid use widespread in figure? I mean, if an amateur is using, are the pros as well? I always thought figure was a reaction to the unnatural state of women's bodybuilding.

 Some are natural but most arent. Usually they will run a very mild mild cycle during contest prep time. Offseason they usually stay clean. A common cycle for figure competitors at the highest level will look like a little bit of winstrol(around 10-15mg every other day) for 7-8 weeks. That's with 5mg tabs. Injectible they might go w/ 25mg every 2-3 days with clen. Maybe even a little bit of anavar at 5-10mg daily.

 Most girls I know run DHEA or something over the counter to manipulate their hormones.

 Thats right! growth will cut fat even better than clen in alot of cases...plus it keeps their muscle fuller and gives them a little bit of a harder look. Not to mention...it usually doesnt masculinize them to a degree 'gear' will.

the difference is that AS will deepen their voice, cause hair to grow, etc., while they're on it.  but once they go off, their bodies return to normal.

It's not just widespread but incredibly widespread in Women's Figure. All the top girls are doing it. Period!

A very prominent - and stunninly beautiful - figure competitor has [some claim dramtically] altered her physical appearence over the last few years in her desperate quest to win the title that has eluded her for so long.

She's still as adorable as ever, but many [experts in the industry] claim she has lost her one-time feminine appearence that had made her an idol to many aspiring women.

Yes they do use stuff...anavar, gh, clen, t-3.....just take a look at some of the jaws and faces and hair of some of these girls today...do they look like the attractive girls just training in a gym?  It's VERY wide spread, most of them DO use either gh, clen, anavar ect or a combo of the drugs.
