I've got a mildly amusing story in this context that happened recently. I was on a first date with this absolutely stunning girl I knew from one of my former work places. It was Saturday night and we were strolling down the main street in Auckland towards the cinemas to catch a late night movie. It so happened that a bouncer mate of mine, a big Samoan mofo who's 6'6", 300 lb+ was on the other side of the road. He sees me and yells out my name and I just wave back, rather than cross the road and go talk to him coz I didn't want to keep the lady waiting.

Anyway, on seeing this, she asks me who that was and I told her how it was a mate of mine who I used to train in the gym a couple of years ago (I really did). Since she didn't know about bodybuilding / training too much, she thought I was bullshitting, since she couldn't see how I could have trained someone who was bigger than me (although I'm no slouch myself  ) and said just as much.

Now for the best part - literally seconds after she had called bullshit on my explanation and even before I had had time to explain to her, we walked past a bunch of teenage kids (boys and girls) who were dancing in the pavement around a stereo. Anyway, one of the kids sees me and goes, "Holy F*ck ! Look at the muscles on this guy." After which, they asked me to pose for some pics with them. And I did it like the pros do - one arm around the shoulder and the other arm doing the mandatory 'Thumbs up'  . Needless to say, the chick was absolutely impressed after this and I myself couldn't believe this unbelievable plug that I got on that date One of those moments when you are so glad you are alive

I know what you're saying. Guys like you and me look at the pros - massive guys like Ronnie and Jay and then look at ourselves and realise we are far from being the most muscular guys in the world. But to the average person, I suppose any person who has lean arms over 19" on a 5'10" or under frame (and other parts of the body in proportion) looks freakishly muscular / unreal.
