Dude the guy has a lot of free time, is superficial and spends a lot of time, money and probably drugs to try to look good so I don't find this profound. Also never found his physique special at any time-clearly not the look of a true athlete but rather someone who's been worked-on.

LOL, yeah in between acting, writing, directing, producing, interviews, his supplement company, his magazine, his reality TV show...yeah, he just works out all day.  ::)

One of the lads working out at my gym was on set making the Stallone racing car pic in Toronto (not sure the title but the one where Burt Reynold's face lift makes him like a burn victim) and although aware that Stallone frowns upon anyone making eye contact with him (WTF!?) he was forced at one juncture to ask the man himself a question as his regular superior was away, and tried to do so quietly. He later was told that that day he was fired for this breech of 'Stallone' protocol. What a hosebag. Fark Rocky.

You're such an obvious groupie: you claim he's an amazing person yet offer no proof. Lemme guess-you're Italian from Staten Island or Brooklyn. I forgot about all those "masterpieces" he's working on-the only thing is that none of these works of art have seen the light of day or no one's interested. hahahahhaahhah

I'll ask him for some more details (maybe something really specific, just for you IM) next time I see him. He's a pretty cool guy and was he really crushed that he was fired because he had just gotten married and had a baby on the way. It really threw a kibosh into the works. But, as he also said, the making of the film was bad news all round and nothing seemed to go right.

Yes, I am Italian, but sorry not from NY. :)

I do not think "proof" is necessary, all that Stallone has done the past 30 years speaks for itself. Do you think he got to where he is at by sitting on his ass or by being lucky?

You seem like a Stallone fan, and I am a huge movie guy. Let me ask you a question, and I mean this quite sincerely. Stallone is an intelligent man (I mean he wrote Rocky, is a bit of an artist, seems to be very well spoken, etc.) but what explains his massive blindspot in choosing movies/movie roles? He has had some blockbusters (Rocky, First Blood) but his list of commercial/critical failures (Cobra, Avenging Angelo) is huge. I always wondered this and never come up with a good answer. Now I know H-Wood is a strange mix of money/art but c'mon now. Wondering.

he was "type cast" as Rocky and Rambo, although he had other good movies: Lock Up, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Cobra, The Specialist, Cop Land.

"In 1988 he was offered 4 million dollars to do an advert for an American beer commercial under the condition that he cut his hair; when he refused they offered a further 1 million dollars to go to the barber - he still refused."

how about that pumpster?

when you get offered 5 million dollars to cut your hair and can afford to refuse, you can come back and talk!

haha.
