As it happens, I work at eBay. And one of their policies is:

"eBay may also, in its discretion and out of respect for the families of murder victims, remove listings of items closely associated with individuals notorious for committing murderous acts within the last 100 years...Further, eBay will remove any listing and suspend the users involved where it appears that a person convicted of a violent felony is attempting to use eBay (directly or through another person) to benefit financially from his or her criminal notoriety."

For example: a listing of the farm where Ed Gein committed his atrocities was recently taken down for being "murderabilia" - as the Trust & Safety department calls it. [Love that word.

Of course, Titus/Ryan are presumed innocent until proven guilty - and this item is not directly related to the crime they are charged with. So this may get a pass.

But it may not. So if you go to that link and the auction isn't there any more, you'll know why.

But if you came into Live Chat and asked what happened to a listing of Sesame Street baby decals you were bidding on, and your account record showed that you were a 25 year old man, I couldn't promise that the customer support representative wouldn't share a snicker over you with the person who sits next to them.

No surprise on Google but competition's badly needed; hopefully it'll become popular despite any problems with Ebay.
