Chic, what is your official position on the Don Long return to competition?

"I went to bat for Don, to try to plead his case"
"With my blessings, and with Manions, we sent it to the IFBB"
"I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll let him compete"

You said on getbig.com that you were going to prevent it.  You said part of your job is to "protect an athlete from himself".

Bob, it sounds like you took two positions on this issue.
Note: Chic- i'm not flaming.  Seriously, I never expected to hear this from you.  You made a very strong case for the IFBB's position.  Where do you stand?

Whether Don Long competes is up to the IFBB.

I agree, Vince, he did make it very clear.  however tonight, he said someting totally different.  On the boards, he said it was his responsibility to 'protect don long from himself'.

tonight on the show, he acted like he totally supported it, and it was a great idea.

Protect an athlete from himself,who are you kidding they don't even drug test Pros that is the IFBB way,a rule book if they need it for problem athletes like Lee P who speaks the truth too often.all the big news about judging posing round as everyone knows doesn't do jack with the places as they pose at nite so if a guy is 5th and posers worst than a 10th place are they going to change the order????NO.   So how did that judging round come out???.Oh and while we are being honest how about judging score sheets for all to see.

my intentions have been clear from day one.  it's a cool sport to watch, and i build sites for athletes.  The better they do financially, the more shows they can do, and website they can buy.  it's pretty simple.  IMO there should be a new athletes rep every year, so that new ppl's ideas can be implemented and no one gets too cozy with manion/ifbb. 

it's not rocket science.

There is one position...that is going to be decided from the IFBB legal dept.

What my personal opinion is, is of no interest to the matter.

Don knows my position, and I will help him to market himself to the BB fans if that is his choice.

well my thread is prob gonna get deleted by one of you again so this is what i have to say to you bob:

well pro bbing weekly had a delay and i think i know why. Everyone was argueing that don was going to make a comeback, and bob kep saying no no no no, and thought he was wrong.. bob clearly told him to say its just 'coming on the stage one more time' and bob kept insisting it over and over again. sorry bob, it's a comeback, no matter what you make him say, if hes coming back on stage, that is a comeback, no matter the words you fed him last week and today.

bob no matter how many times you insist to don in the show that 'clarify you are just coming back because you want to come on stage' or how many times you told him it's not a comeback and it's him coming on stage... He's coming back on stage and that means IT'S A COMEBACK CONSIDERING HE HASN'T BEEN ON STAGE FOR 7 YEARS!!! bob you were wrong, and whoever it is who keeps deleting this thread, pm me.
