TA brings up a good point, which many of you miss because of your blind hatred of him. It's one thing to get on a board and babble around, but when competitors lie about weight, body fat %, lifts, etc... it sets an unattainable goal for others. Just ask your avg. beginner in the gym some of their ideas on what they consider strong lifts. ALL of them have some story about a "friend/cousin/uncle" or "a guy in a magazine" who can bench 600lbs/squat 500 ass to the ground, etc... all natural. It causes them to have a false sense of what is "real" in lifting. IMO.

Many guys or girls who claim do do some major poundages dont even go all the way down. Take for instance an ex friend who claimed to me he benches over 350 but when I spotted him, he couldnt even bench 225...

The world is full of liars and people who arent honest with themselves or others....

At least I was being honest with you guys.....I could have told a downright lie and I bet you people would have been gullible to believe...well some of you

Some people here are still fooled and think supplements you get at GNC actually work because the magazine ads say so.

Who ripped on you? I just pointed out that if you claim to be 270, being able to squat 315 for only a few reps is not that impressive. Surely you understand? Guys under 200, myself included, have squatted 500 for reps. Perhaps you're not built for squats. Really strong squatters tend to be shorter (sometimes) with big glutes. Look at the size of Ronnie's glutes and you'll understand why he squats 800. It's not a rip, bro. You may be really strong in the upper body.

In my opinion you are the one unjustly ripping people. You assume someone to be a liar when they can do something you have a hard time achieving. That isn't right. I've seen people (men and women) use weights in the gym that you would never suspect them capable of handling visually. Again, that's what you and others on this thread can't seem to conceptualize. Sure some people fabricate lift numbers to impress people, but not everyone.

I've seen it done by women of similar weight, so I'll take her at her word. Once again, you cannot tell someone's strength in a given movement by looking at them. I would expect The Beast to have thicker glutes to perform such a feat, but I still think it's possible.

Most 120-140 lb men can't squat 315. I can't remember the last time I saw ANYONE squat 315, besides my boyfriend, True Adonis.

Maybe if TA acctually left the computer for more than 5 minutes he would make some strength gains and see that with hard training it can be achieved same goes for the other few experts on here who dont believe because people at the gyms they train at cant do it maybe if they start training at a serious place instead of at a cross-trainer and treadmill palace they would realise its possible.

I don't want to get into the poundage claim thing but maybe becuase your so tall your just not built for squats.
I'm 5'8" 220 now...
I seen your pics and you look good so don't get upset but at 270 now you should be more steel.
