fast food/ junk food
« on: July 16, 2006, 02:21:50 PM »
hi,
i have been eating 5500 clean calories for the past 6 months.  i am platued.  i cant shove anymore clean food in in one day.  plus its expensive.  i have been eating 50-60g fat, 550-650g carbs and pro every day.  any thoughts on just going to burger king to get those extra calories?  or just buying the cheap food (cereals, etc...) at the grocery store?  im lean now but dont wanna gain pounds of fat.

If you need a cheat meal then do one. But if you do, knock out one of your "clean" meals and cut another one in half. Do this once every 2-3 weeks if you feel you need to. Personally I rarley need to have a cheat meal. also, 650grams of carbs a day! maybe you aren't that sensitive to carbs but i would blow up like a baloon on that much.

Cereal is not expensive!
But yeah 650 I'd be a walking blimp bro.
You need to switch over to fats maybe, less carbs.

Yeah go to BK and get a whopper a day in the noon time. Keep the mayo on it.

um, 50g of fat is nothing.....healthy fats are very beneficial!

100-125g of healthy fats/day (olive oil, nuts, EFAs. natural peanut butter)

PBJ.  I used it to break my plateau.  Eat 12 sandwiches a day.  PB spread down thick on both pieces of bread with lots of jelly between.  Buy the PB and Jelly at SAMs.  Cheap, and calories. I guarantee you will break your plateau.  You might have to get a little soft to keep putting the meat on.  You can always tone it off later.

i wouldnt reccomend junk food every day by any means but when bulking sometimes you take calories any way you can get them, nothing wrong with a little junk while bulking as long as its not a everyday type of thing....however everyone has different metabolic rates and some can get away with things that others cant....unfair?  YES!! but TRUE!!

one of the most ripped bastards i ever knew ate fast food twice a day and stayed at around 5-6% year round....and was completey natural...Branch Warren eats some type of junk every day and we all know about Lees love for junk, hell who doesnt....while bulking i'll hit up DQ for a large blizzard once a week or so!!!  I think every one's body has a set point fat percentage wise that it wants to be at and will pretty much stay in that zone.  I could eat junk all day long and still stay at around 10-12% and still see my abs but i dont do this bc I would feel like shit with no energy all day long and my workouts would suffer
