Question for Tre and Lift Studios
« on: July 18, 2006, 09:41:54 PM »
I need to buy a new camera but I don't want to spend alot of $.  I looked at the Canon EOS Digital Rebel T2 and the Canon Powershot A620 and A700.  I already have a Canon EOS Rebel K2 and an old Canon Powershot A60.  Any recommendations would be much appreciated. :)

What's your budget?

I'm partial to the Canons because of performance and durability, but generally give the Nikons (and Fuji) the edge in image quality.  The Sony images are right up there, too, these days.

Whenever I need a new camera, I start my shopping here:

Good luck!

what do you do with your old cameras Tre?  Maybe you can sell her a good one cheap or give one?

Canon 20D, or the newer version of it, the 30D. Should be plenty of deals on the 20D right now...$600 to $700, camera body only. Lenses are separate, range between $200 to $800 each for something decent.

It all depends on what you're shooting for and what your objective is. Where the $$$ comes in is the lenses. Good luck and have fun shooting.
