Small cycle, HRT and off days

#1 - Lean bulking  - show in 15 months and need a clean xx pounds........here's my question.  In my previous life, I trained 7 days a week, and did cardio on most days in the am.  Now here's my dilemma....: How many days a week do you take completely off from the gym?  The pro I'm training with for a show in 15 months has me training 5 days a week, with the 6th being a weak bodypart session only if he feels necessary.  No cardio, except this crazy glute ham stretch on the treadmill at 12% incline and 2.5 ramp...deep stretch.  I see many dudes train 6 days a week easily and then there are some that do something every day of the week....so help me out bros.....how many off days and on your totally off days do you take in very very little carbs?   That's the other thing.  He still has me slamming carbs in my first 4 meals, then my 2nd 4 meals are proteins and fats.   Why the hell do I need so many carbs when I'm sitting and being a lazy bum in the office all day?  Rationalize with me.  Tell me what I need to know!  Thanks!

I generally take two days a week off from they gym. However, I also listen to my body & if I'm overly tired I'll take a third or forth day off. The older I've gotten the less anal I've become about going to the gym. I used to hit the gym at all costs & ignored being too sore or injuries. Just relax & listen to your body.

I don't think you'd want to hear my thoughts on diets/dieting because I'm doing something completely against the grain.

if it's carb or cal restricted, I dont wana hear it as it;ll make it worse, other than that, Id love to hear....what are your stats?  Eat the same on off days?

Allright here goes. About five months ago I made the decision to eat/drink less protein. I went from comsuming about 300-350 grams of protein a day to about 175-225 grams a day. After doing that I increased my carbs & fats. In honesty I feel quite a bit better. I also don't feel bloated near as often. I also started not eating after about 8:00PM - however, right before bed I take 1 tablespoon of hemp oil & 5-10 liver tablets. I generally keep my diet the same all during the week but on weekends it might slip a little bit (because we might go out to lunch or dinner). Also, one night a week I allow myself a late night snack (just to keep my sanity) - this is usually after work (around 10 or 11).

Stats:
6'
230-235 lbs.
15% BF

I'm also doing a cutting cycle in about two months & I hope to get my BF to about 10% & then keep it around there.

10%body fat looks like optimistic to me..

That's when I recall feeling & looking my best. I've been lower then that before but I just felt too skinny & weak. Well, I actually was really skinny - I was running track & swimming at the time. There's been too much other stuff going on to get into full cutting mode (getting married & buying a house). Once all that's done & over & the moving & painting is done....look out.

According to some previous post you made, your training is one of the top in the country, if this is so, then just do what he tells you. For example, if I was paying Glass and Nichols to guide me in my training and diet, with the money I paid them and faith in their service, I wouldn't have a hard time foolowing their advice.

Well, I wouldnt put him in Glass' ballpark, but he is def. nationally known for training and diets and has represented many on the national level.  Another trainer at my gym, who trains under him, just won  the NPC in Pa for teens and is going to Pitts. tomorrow for nationals.

The title of your thread includes the words Small cycle & HRT. You mention nothing in your post - what are you planning to take?

Why don't you just ask him why he has you doing these excersizes and nutrition plans? No offense bro but if I was in your shoes I would be bugging the shit out of this guy for advice and insight and anything he told me to do I would do it and then have him explain afterwards what gains it will help me make and how. Out of curiousity, what show are you getting ready for?

ive heard that prop every 3 day is better than an hrt dose of 200mg every 10...thoughts?
