WWE issued a statement via their text messaging service, announcing Lashley had elevated enzymes of the liver and would be out of action until "further evaluation."

He was on Smackdown last night, taped Thursday, I think, so this must be new. I don't know any bodybuilder without elevated liver enzymes so his must be through the roof!

As first reported on WWE Mobile Alerts, Bobby Lashley is unable to compete in this Sunday's Great American Bash. WWE physician Dr. Ferdinand Rios told WWE.com, "During his annual exam, Bobby Lashley was found to have elevated enzymes of the liver; therefore, he is not cleared to wrestle until further evaluation."

As a result of this breaking news, the Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship at The Great American Bash has changed. U.S. Champion Finlay will now defend the gold against William Regal in a one-on-one match

His liver counts must be seriously fucked for them to pull him. Anyone who lifts heavy EVEN WITHOUT STERIODS can have certain elevated liver function #'s because of the enzymes released from muscle breakdown/fatigue. Of course, two weeks on gear and your ALT/AST #'s will be out of range (high) and typically your hemocrit/hemoglobin #'s will be too high, and your HDL/LDL ration will be off, with your HDL being WAY low and your triglycerides too high. He should be taking glutathione, milk thistle, aspirin, and maybe niacin, or better yet, just say "no" to 'roids and end up with no source of income - doh!

1. Why the fuck are you on WWE text messaging service....do you need to get updates on pro wrestling that badly?

2. His liver enzymes could be elevated for a number of reasons, depending on what the pattern is. A more likely cause (not steroids) could be a gallstone causing an obstruction of his biliary tree or a viral infection (like hepatitis)
