snarly vascularity

im starting to get some wierd looking vascular bulges in my calf muscles.  What causes this and can it be prevented or subdued in any way without expensive laser surgery?

Keith, did you ever train with Curtis? he was shit in WSM in 95 - due to being fresh out of a BB comp etc - but I have heard you mention the guys strength as being quite high, do you have any numbers or stories about the guy?
