240's analogy on the Wallmart- Target was right on and applies here. Near My store their is a Brooks Drug. They are right now building a Wallgreen right across the street. Will Brooks, one of the largest chains in the US close. Me thinks not. The store will only get better, cleaner floors, windows, shelves. The attitudes will change for the better and the same goes for the Wallgreens. Competition among retail giants, like bodybuilding federations, will do whatever it takes to try to be or stay at #1. When the PDI gets off the ground and it will, the IFBB can only improve to keep up with the PDI. The workers pay and benefits, which Wallgreens is nationally known to take care of it's associates will force Brooks to improve or else the employees can simply walk across the street. Same goes for the IFBB and the PDI. One will police the other, which is a good thing for all concerned. The day of the monopolies should be over. If you're the only show in town, why change? When the other show is comming in a month, if the big dawg's laying back on it's merits than the little guy has lots of room to improve and draw more and better athletes. Before you dog the PDI, give the upstarts a chance. They will either sink or swim but at least let them jump in the pool.
