I always thought that the criticisms of Bob as being a company stooge were overstated - mostly a convenient way to get in a dig at him. But after listening to the show, I'm a doubter no more...
Bob (and to a lesser degree Shawn) did not sound like someone in a strong arguing position, calmly pointing out the weaknesses in the arguments of his debating opponent. He sounded like someone audibly scared that his sinecure as a camp trusty is about to be lost in a prisoner revolt. [And I say this as someone who thinks that the PDI is a phantasmal projection of Wayne DeMilia's deranged ego.]
He came within an inch of braying at Lee, "What would you have without the IFBB? Nothing! It made you! And now it's going to destroy you!" And when he said, "Sure, Ben's name was on [Lee's suspension] but it was really Wayne", he assured himself of his own wing in the Self-Owning Hall of Fame.

I've got no strings
To hold me down
To make me fret, or make me frown
I had strings
But now I'm free
There are no strings on me
"prisoner revolt"?? One GUY???LOLOL....you must have been listening to a different show. It was Lee that was throwing digs and trying to be funny, I was willing to go toe to toe if thats what he wanted
The real funny part is, you know nothing of how pro bodybuilding works...if you did, you would know that Ben's role in athlete relations was and is, non existant. Thats why Wayne was put in charge...much like any company.
I'm sure people have been reprimanded/ fired working for microsoft as well...and I'm sure Bill Gates' name was on the paper, you think some manager actually sat in Bill's office telling him of the details of Joe Blow showing up late for a meeting or stealing paper clips?
BTW, what would Lee have had without competing in the IFBB? According to Wayne, there are tons of great European bodybuilders, etc out there that are wallowing in obscurity...what would have made Lee any different? He has made a lot of money, signed a lot of contracts, and made himself a household name in the world of bodybuilding...all on the IFBB stage. Why should that be glossed over?
Lee's fighting the wrong guy...I'm not against lee, and there are rules I will be challenging as I have been since day one. Unfortunately, Lee chooses to be a one man army when he should be rallying the troops to his side.
