The semifinals and finals of the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition, which took place in March, will begin this weekend on the Outdoor Life Network.
The event at Veterans Memorial was the centerpiece of the weekend-long Arnold Sports Festival. Dexter Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla., won the bodybuilding competition for the second year in a row, earning $100,000 and other prizes.
Launched in 1989, the Arnold Classic is named after Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former bodybuilder and actor, and now governor of California.
The event attracted 16,000 athletes and 132,000 visitors this year.
OLN will show the semifinals at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, 3 p.m. Monday, 7 p.m. Tuesday, 6 p.m. Aug. 10, 4 p.m. Aug. 13 and 5 p.m. Aug. 17.
The finals will be shown at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 12, 5 p.m. Aug. 13, 3 p.m. Aug. 14 and 6 p.m. Aug. 17.
