Dude, Steel Gym is owned by a gay couple, like many of the successfull business' here. They are great guys and they run the best gym in town. Some of the biggest guys are gay, and nice as hell. If you don't like it don't come to NY.

i tell ya, I love gay people.  They are very polite, very openminded.

Thank you 240, I think.

I'm not gay, but as I work in the industry, I come in contact with a lot of people who are, and occcasionally I am asked to help build a site or forum which will um, facilitate the interests of certain groups.  I have no problem with it at all (discretion is always the #1 goal), and seriously, not to speak too generally, but the homosexuals I have worked with are more friendly, better at paying on time, and have been a pleasure to work with.

Are you referring to the man who refers to his trainer as a "greek god" or the "greek god" himself  ???

"pleasure to work with and discretion is #1 goal"  ;)

Take it easy, my bullqueer friend. All gyms in Manhattan are gay. Some like David Barton are gayer than others. Although some guys don't mind working out with a bunch of cock-craving, crotch-staring homos, other guys do object to:

1. Being manhandled and poked from behind when getting spotted under the squat rack.
2. Getting accidentally teabagged when benching with a spotter.
3. Having three guys with no intention of working out, lounging around the locker room nude, ogling and soliciting your cock.
4. Having someone sniff your crotch during pull-ups.
5. Rejecting guys offering to "oil you up" despite you being out of competition shape.
6. Having someone slip a "roofie" into your "protein shake" and "pwn" you in the sauna.
7. Having people unnecessarily spot you on Bent Over Rows.
8. Getting an unsolicited handjob under the table at Two Boots Pizzeria after your workout.

Sami,

Be sure to buy a REFUNDABLE airline ticket. Insiders tell me that the NOC will be cancelled. If you make the trip anyway, Steel Gym on 23rd street is hardcore without (too many) homos. Just over the Brooklyn Bridge is Gold's Brooklyn Heights which is clean and well-equipped. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure top 5 is a synch for you London, there probably won't be even 5 competitors by the time the NOC comes around.

Do you think Lee will be signing autographs backstage after he guestposes?

Thanks for the nice comment.

The owners of Steel, Tim and Dave, are very cool and respectful to bodybuilders. They are great guys, let them know your there for a competition.

You seem to have been man handled a lot. Sorry from my people. You should try Midcity Gym on 49th, mixed crowd but everyone is respectful and it is not a pick up joint for gay or straight.

And btw, David Barton is only interested in money that is why he does not kick out the pervs in the lockerroom and sauna. If he cared about you straight guys he would do something about it. He is just a straight rich party boy.

I think my very public propensity for hot tub shenannigans verifies my "straight-ness".
