Mahi Mahi filets at Sams Club $5.58 for a 2 pound bag.

They're individually wrapped in the bag which is nice and each 4 oz. serving is 100 calories and 21 grams of protein. Of course it doesn't taste very good especially if you over cook it but it's a good and cheap source of protein.

I'm having trouble finding good tasting and inexpensive forms of protein. I prefer real food to protein powders but the options are so limited for cheap protein. I'm sick to death of chicken and egg whites.

Anyone have any revelations regarding good tasting and cheap protein?

Under $4 a pound for wild salmon is fantastic. I don't like farm raised salmon but I don't mind wild as much. What's the protein count on wild salmon?

Try marinating it in a "zesty-Italian type salad dressing and then grilling it.  YUMMY
