There are enough threads supporting the point of view that the Bob Paris/Steve Reeves look is what's cool. People posting how they wish the "good old days" would come back. How horrible Ronny and Jay look with their huge GH Guts.

I'm here to say that I do not want to go back to those old days. Obviously the mass monsters have a place in bodybuilding - otherwise why would the #1 reigning champion for years be one? I think people want bigger muscles, not smaller with lines.

The question was what "people" prefer.  And the fact is the majority of people DO NOT like the big muscles like Mr. Olympia.  Maybe the larger number of BB fans like the larger muscles but in the overall population the bigger muscles do not come close.  Women by the majority like the leaner better built guys.  Guys like what women like becasue they want the women.  In addition, ALLOT more money is made by the smaller, leaner guy than the overly muscled guy.  Those are facts.

Because he is not just a walking refrigerator.  He has awesome shape, round muscles, sick conditioning AND piles of muscle.  If it were not for the "gut" he would be near flawless...


BTW, no one is calling for "swimmer" physiques to come back   I'd like to see the judging reward freaky/aesthetic physiques like Flex, Leverone, Ray, Dex, etc.

You're not built like Mindspin, Garraeth...so it doesn't hold that you'd claim to like his physique...but seriously, I wouldn't think the answer would be found anywhere near going the opposite way just out of spite.  I mean, you claim to be 300 and wanting to be MUCH BIGGER even still...but seriously...isn't that just a slow suicide?  I see pictures of people looking horrendous and I just think they're chasing being put out of their misery, not a fucking dream.

Yeah see threads like this make it appear as though these points need to be explained to people.  That's why it was deleted by a "ridiculous" mod twice before Garraeth got to see it live past 2 replies.  What are those mods thinking, right?

You can be a "mass monster" 'til you can't wipe your ass...but if you show up at a show looking like this you're gonna win it.  NPC, IFBB, PDI, CSI Miami, whatever...you're gonna win it.  This is another point people are missing.
