Did God Create People With Multiple Personalities?

Like Shirley Ardell Mason aka Sybil (the woman with 16 personalities)?  Just wondering if people are born with this condition or if it develops over time.  Also, query whether a person who creates multiple user names on a message board and attempts to portray each of them as separate persons suffers from multiple personality disorder?     Would that be creation or evolution at work?

I'm pretty sure that people like Sybil form the extra personalities in a type of "defense response" to some type of real or perceived abuse they receive. 

Did you see that movie about her w/Sally Field?  The mother was a sick abuser and Sybil "created" the personalities in order to protect herself.

As for the people who have gimmick accounts .... I wouldn't mind having a gimmick account or two  (I miss the guest function )

But as for the people who "move away to Germany" and then come back as someone else, well, I think the "new personality" is definitely their own conscious creation.

I saw the movie, but the book was better.  My sister made me read it when I was a kid.

one HAS...lemme put it in bold..one HAS to be comfortable in ones own skin to precieve and answer such questions (let alone do research on it)

aside from my friend jessie(dood)..you r the person i find most comfy in her skin (lets also put aside the social more`'s that permit ya to do so)

EVERYONE has branch facets that adhere to their true personality..and these  branch facets(an addition to the whole) exist to the degree one has problems with their true self...

in some.these facets grow to "multiple personalities"

STella is definitely correct in this assertion. It develops from severe trauma inflicted upon a child before their brain is fully formed, ...usually before the age of 5. It can be accomplished through torture or even more sophisticated methods like harmonics

Toxie, as for your assumption that no research has been done on this, ...you couldn't be more incorrect.

There is a whack of research that has been conducted, both in ancient times as well as modern.
This is a subject I know well.

Eleven years ago I had the priviledge of meeting ex-CIA operative Mark Phillips and Cathy O'Brien, (a  former CIA/Pentagon mind controlled slave) -- the only known outspoken survivor of this type of abuse. Cathy & Mark spoke for hours discussing this very subject as well as others.
