808, don't take any of this personally. Most of the guys on here are skinny bordering on anorexic - it makes a welcome change to have a fat bastard on board. If you're serious about going on the gear you need to drop about 90lbs of flab first. Apart from anything you don't want to crush your 'girlfriend'

That was my inital assessment.  At least 100 lbs of fat needs to be dropped.

I take it none of you passed algebra huh?  I weigh 310lbs w/ a bodyfat of 21.6, which means that I have a total of less than 70lbs of fat. So that means that you are suggesting that I not only get down to 0% b.f., but also lose 30 lbs of lean body mass?  So should I cut off an arm or what?

Just get your ass down to 270-280, for the first diet. That's still 30-40 fcuking pounds to lose, and it will take some time to do it, if you want to it without losing muscle mass.

Estimate 15-16 weeks to get there IMO. Then bulk some before making a choice on what direction you want to take with your training, strongman or whatever.

You sure seems to have great genetics, I can tell you that though.

thanks for treating me like an oldtimer.  actually I need hearing how fat you guys think I am so that I will work hard and lose the fat. it aint easy, like I said earlier Ive been 300+ since I was 17.  My realistic goal is 275 w/ under 15%

Yeah, I believe not many guys grow to be as tall and big as this guy.

He is stronger than most of us will ever be.

Big deal.

There is little meaning in comparing yourself to someone else. I find inspiration in lots of different lifters and athletes on different levels.

This guy would probably need to get down to 250 or something to be real hard.

But he's fcuking strong. Using math is bollock IMO.

Nobody wants to see the lightweight lifters, there is a reason they lift during the early hours and during Thursday and Friday. And there is a reason why the heavy guys lift on Saturday and Sunday.

Sure, I'm respect lifters like Olech and Sivokon, probably the best lifters pound for pound ever. But they're not as strong as Siders or any of the other big guys.

How do I know this? Easy. Just by looking at the barbell.



There is no such thing as relative strength. Bring a Wilks table next time when you're out in clubs, but I doubt it will help you make your point in discussions on strength.
