I actually like doing cardio. I just crank the mp3 and look at myself in the mirror, which I never get tired of.

D-I-E-T is one of those bad 4 letter words your parents told you to avoid...I listened and will never say the "D" word ever again... I remain "a belly in training".
Cardio is more than 4 letters and ok in my  book, I only wish they had a food meter on treadmills and climbers instead of just calories burned, etc. For example, if want to eat a donut or pc of cake you had to do so much cardio at this intensity.
Ya know, rather than focus on wt LOST, think about all the extra good food you can eat and remain at the same fun body wt.
Why lose fat/ wt when you can train in full sweats and look massive when you cinch your wt belt really tight to suck in your gut....works for me :o

My training is every other day...Hard and heavy....Every set to failure,drop sets, rest about a minute between sets.

I don`t count reps or sets.  I do Legs one day,Chest one day,Back one day,Bis and Tris one day,Shoulders one day.

No telling how many sets I do.  I just pick a heavy weight and lift it. Probably about 4-6 sets per exercise if I had to guess and about 5-10 different exercises depending. I basically train like the old guys, Reeves and Grimek.


My calories are probably 1200-1800 range.  Possibly lower at times but not higher.

Protein is kept high.  Fats are whatever is in the protiens and 1 serving of almond butter at night.

It really is too simple.

Muscle is HARD to lose in actuallity.  People really have no clue. 


My diet is sooooo simple and I eat really well.

My carbs are eaten in the first 2 meals of the day.

Meal 1 carbs:2 servings fiber one,1 cup of skim milk
Meal 2 carbs:1 piece of fruit.
The rest of the meals include a protein source and maybe vegetables.  I eat a lot of gourmet cooked proteins such as manta ray  and still have hamburgers everyday with ketchup.


No changes to diet.

cardio 2 times a day for an hour on zero carb day with very little water is a little challenging.

and why in the hell would you do 2 sessions of cardio on a zero carb day with little water???   WTF?

a little challenging, my ass.  that's just plain fuggin' stupid.

what kills me is getting up earlier for the cardio.  actually doing the cardio/diet is no problem after several years of it.

i'm going to adopt TA's approach to the offseason from now on so I don't have to do cardio.  i'm done with getting fat, i'm finding it harder and harder each year to lean up, especially since i'm almost 30 :'(

Cardio.. it beats up my feet, makes me feel run down, doing 40 min a night.. treadmill/recumbent bike and some stairs

Diets not bad..easy, get cravings like every other human bodybuilder but I can tolerate them.. 8)

WTF....1200-1800 calories ??? I know little women who have to eat more than that to maintain their weight.

If I do anything less than 3000/day I lose weight. So I usually cut around 2700/day. You must have a really slow metabolism. Good for cutting I guess, but you may turn into a tub of lard when you get older :o

I have a detailed log of every morsel of food I have ingested sine July 2nd. Anywhere from 2500-2700 cals per day (higher on training days, lower on rest days).

I am honestly surprised you dont shrivel up on your diet.

It's easier to eat less than it is to do cardio to make up for the calories.   

I do cardio for 20-30 min on a recumbant bike at a comfortable pace (while watching TV at the gym),  I usually only burn 200-250 calories.  Not hard stuff.    I'll do higher intensity cardio (soccer and jogging) once or twice a weak to improve my heart and lung endurance.

post a picture to show how 'cut' you are.  Unless you are tall and have a lot of muscle that is high calories for dieting.

That's the only reason I do cardio.  Those who have said you don't need it to get rid of fat, and that you can do it all with diet are right.  But they're wrong to say it is unimportant... it is very important, just not for fat loss.

True Adonis, from your recent pics, I wouldnt be braging too much abotu your philososphy- you look good, but very flat muscles, i dunno man, your just over dieting imho so far..looking SKINNY actually.  :-\  But whatever works for you.

Especially your front lat spread, i mean, your chest just looks flat, you look dry, skin is looking thin, ..you came down from some heafty weight, and you didnt keep much (lost alot of mass)...

Now if you would of kept most of your mass, and lost BF, that would be ideal, but you kinda look like your starving yourself. And it doesnt help how lancky and long you are.
