I'm watching a video of the 1982 Olympia and I can't believe this. Anyone else think the judges were high on LSD?

if you are talking about dickerson beating out bannout, then i fully agree. dickerson was a great bber, but bannout looked great that year.

Not only that. Zane in 2nd?! Come on! He had zero legs and his abs weren't even sharp. Makkawy was better than him. Bertil Fox looked like a monstrosity and he got 8th. I think they picked the winners randomly.

Why ask the question?when it's a simple answer Same judges that Fixed the 1980 with Arnold and 1981 Franco ,then another stuff up in 82.Got it right in 1983 sort of.Been going on for years and is still same nothing changes just the names.

well they say that 81 was a total fix for franco. 82 was just a shame. get emule and download the video.

yeah but I always thought Danny got screwed the hardest out of everyone at that show...monster being arnolds little buddy and winning a show because of it.

I would agree with him being screwed. but why would Arnold have anything to do with it?

Ask the same question to the director on Conan the barbarian Franco had a part in that as well for about 2secs.What Arnold wants Arnold gets.Just looks good in the history books Arnold winner 1980 and Franco 1981.Dickersons was a retirement gift in 82.Got it right in 83.IMO.

What does this have to do with a 2 second part for Franco in Conan? Franco was perfect for that character, they even hid the fact that the guy was short. He didn't say anything and swung around a big hammer.

it's a non speaking part. franco gets killed at the very end. it's when arnold and that asian thief guy set some traps and stand to fight at the end. the guy (franco) sees a helmet sticking up and smashes it thinking it's Conan and this spike comes out from a trap Conan set and runs him through.
