Are you crazy? how was i privilaged? because i went to a public school that had a cheap music program with cigar box violins, 30 beginner 10 year olds crammed in "orchestra" with a teacher who is actually a pianist instead of a violinist? IF I would have been privillaged... as in had money to have a private teacher since I was young and owned my own instrument then if I complained it would be stupid.

Different how? It's more heterosexual?

Sometimes you can only train with what you have access to. Pianos are very expensive and it isn't like you can drive down to the local music shop and just rent one.  :-\

Calm down, Martha.  What I'm saying is that there are a shitload of kids who barely get enough to eat every day, yet you are whining cause you didn't get to continue your faggy violin lessons.

Elton john is a man's man...:) but the type of instrument in my book goes a long way in determining what type of guy you want to be. When was the last time you saw a macho flute player?

Don't blame those kids, blame your parents!  I don't know how many people I see these days with little to nothing, they usually have a buttload of kids.  There on assistance, you look at the parents and there idiots with no education, who spend all there money on beer and cigs.

I agree for the most part. 

I dropped my two oldest off at high school this morning.  First day of school.  My oldest daughter's 16-year-old best friend pulled up beside us driving her Ford Expedition.  I'd never do that for a kid that young, but it doesn't bother me that this kid's parents have done it for her.
