As Flex mentioned on Muscleradio when people stop trying to cut you down is when you need to be concerned.

I dont think people here pick on Phil because they are jealous of him but because they have favorite bodybuilders and are loyal to that particular bodybuilder....hence why they like taking him apart and focusing on his weaknesses...but I can bet you Phil reads this stuff and is jotting down and knows what he needs to improve on and is working on bettering that.

My favorite bodybuilder of all time is Shawn Ray...then Wheeler....then Heath....but Im beginning to like Heath's physique a lot...

Shawn ...you need to come back and win that Sandow!!!

Why does it matter so much how they look offseason? Unless you're paying to see them guest pose, I don't see a reason for the fans to hate on them.

Phil needs to get his lats up or he will become the new king of the $10,000 shows. His rear lat spread is VERY weak.

He has a problem a lot of guys with great arms have. Their brachioradialus muscle takes over in their back movements.

agreed.  i don't see him winning the O or the ASC.  like most younger bodybuilders, his back needs work.

who knows, he may not even be training all that much right now and is on small maintenace at this time.
two thumbs WAY up!!!

yeah, who cares how he looks right now off the heavy sauce and resting up.

I hope he doesn't try to stay in shape year round and burn himself out.

wow okay...ill be the first to say this

all drugs

nahhhhh.  I don't think it's "all drugs" that's too simplistic.  If it was you'd have a bunch of guys who've only been training for a few years looking like that.  Dudes probably a pure mesmorph plus he has the ability to look pretty damn good come contest day.  The whole "all drugs" thing is too simplistic.

He is not doing isulin right now or taking long off like Ronnie.
If you have the mass of a pro,you cant hide it like Lee Priest.
Even Shawn looked way bigger than Phil in his off season.
I think its not optimum ilusion(his size looks small) but maybe he is not doing isulin or not going to Gym.

Well - hence the world of a bodybuilder on contest day and on offseason.  For offseason, Phil looks great. The guy just won two pro shows, went to Hawaii and proposed to his girl, and is enjoying with new Met-Rx contract and everything that goes with it. It would be crazy for Phil to stay in contest ready shape in the offseason - for what reason? It only matters on that Saturday on the day of the contest. He is not going to compete at the Olympia, but is instead concentrating on winning the 2007 Arnold Classic, going head to head with Dexter.

It called conditioning, symmetry, and character. Obviously, he is not a mass monster freak, nor chooses to be. But if he can only get better when he is in contest shape, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Flex Wheeler was just on Muscle Radio, and like Phil Heath, as a rookie, did some incredible things. Comparing Phil Heath to Flex is a great honor.

2007 Arnold - he should be one of the youngest on the stage, and will be in the top 5.

Correct - even Darrem Charles was stunned by the quality of Phil Heath.

cant wait for the 2007 ASC I want Phil to defeat dexter badly, very badly

Looks good for offseason.  Doesnt have the small joints like Flex...so nothing stands out.  Actually... his traps seem overpowering from the front.  Guys like Kev, Shawn and Flex have had conditioning like no other and couldnt get a O trop.  I'd place him 4th among those guys.  But you never know with Ronnie out the picture, he could beat any of the other pros with 15-20lbs on his frame which will come in the next 2-3 yrs.
Oh...Monica!

It's sad how the IFBB gets guys like this hopes up and he won't win a major show or make any more prize money or at least enough to pay he bills.

You really gotta stop talking out of your ass Keith. The guy won 2 pro shows in his rookie season, something most competitiors never accomplish in their entire career.

Care to wager on him not winning a major show?

Crump is built like a block house.

I think that most guys here are just pissed that phil has accomplish so much with only a few years of bodybuilding training under his belt, that is why they hate on him so much.
So far he has proven all the haters wrong and will continue to do so.

The guy repordedly signed a 6 figure contract with Met-Rx, won $35,000 in prize money so far this year, charges $3K for a guest posing appearance.
He's doing okay money wise if he never even dose a top show.

I know......on Getbig $200K a year is nothing.....but for the rest of the world, that kind of bank at 26 years old with no family is doing okay.

Flex Wheeler got anything upto 100k a guest pose, but this was when he was 0.0%.
