Kevin Levrone was robbed as much as Flex Wheeler against Dorian Yates [1993] and Ronnie Coleman [1998, 1999 & 2000] Sorry Hulkster.  ;D

Flex Wheeler was not called the sultan of synthol for nothing so I do not think one can really say he was ever robbed on the Olympia stage.
And as he never brought his a game to the Olympia except maybe for 1993 he has no reason to complain.

Levrone was reportedly quite a bit off during the prejuding which might have been the day before, don't remember it so good anymore.
He was known for turning around for the better pretty fast so by the night show he looked much improved and nobody understood why he was announced for sith place - they got the adding up of the scores wrong that evening and Kevin finished 4th eventually.

I was watching that clip recently and considered starting a similar thread. Of course he was robbed, he looks outstanding. I'm sure the footage of him posing in the gym where he looks possibly teh most incredible any bber ever looked is from around the same time.

At the end of the day how can a gut sporting, barrel chested, torn muscled (bis, tris need i go on) man who facially looks 50 win the title over such guys as levrone.

And people claim ronnie shouldnt be winning. Gee fuckin whizz, do they know just how bad yates often appeared?

But to answer Hedge's question, it is difficult to fathom how that amazing physique could have been bested by Yates...albeit and injured one.  However, Kevin was off that day.  He was holding water and his legs were not what they used to be.  Dorian showed up in his usual huge, dry, gritty form and took the show.

Interesting to note that when you see that clip and compare it to guys in the top ten today, it just reminds you how good the line up of the 90's was.  Even in that "off" form, Kevin could easily take 2nd today and maybe rival Ronie...

It's almost impossible to beat a 5 time "defending" Olympia winner. If Dorian hadn't been the defending champ he very well may have been beaten in 97. The guy from the 90s who must kick himself in the ass everyday is Nasser. He equaled or exceeded Dorian in every bodypart but back. When Nasser turned around there was just nothing there, no width, depth, or detail. How he could build such an amazing physique with absolutely no back is inexcusable.

kevin looked very off during the prejudging.


back in 97, the prejudging was on one day and then the night show was on another night.

levrone looked much better at night and was a few points behind shawn but had too much to make up.

some people thought paul should have finished ahead of both shawn and kevin.

i dont think kevin even got a callout with dorian during prejudging.  if anyone was has ever seen the tape that ESPN aired, it is so obvious that yates won - easily.

Nasser was Yates main rival for a 2-3 year period. Had Shawn Ray been 4" taller with his proportions he would have beaten everyone of his generation. Thats how it is. Dillet could have beaten them all but we all know his flaws. Mad Mazz couldnt put anything together as a pro but he beat Cormier and Flex for his pro card in 91. There are so many " what ifs" in bodybuilding that you could start a 50 page argument on anyone at random.
