Author Topic: Was anyone at the 99 NOC when Paul Dillet was booed offstage, after winning? (Read 12513 times)

I hadn't heard of this until last night, when he discussed smashing his trophy, etc. Was anyone there, and does anyone have the complete story? He won, but the crowd disagreed, and booed. Why did this lead to the trophy ending up in a trash can, were words exchanged onstage, etc?

Any video clips?

I was there and let me tell you the crowd went absolutely fuckin nuts when they announced Dillet as the winner. Everyone thought Markus Ruhl should have taken that one. They litterally had to escort the judges out of the bldg as people went after them. Insane.

I remember pics of Steve W. the head judge for the IFBB stood up and started yelling at the crowd and stuff. I think Demillia even said something like "here's your judges take it out on them" or something like that. Steve always seemed like a prick to me, challenging Shawn to fights backstage at the O, this...arrogant prick.

Yes. Steve has "unhappy" face always. I didnt know that he challenged to Ray.

I think him and shawn went at it bacause Steve was backstage at the O helping dorian get ready and shawn said something like "man, must be nice to have someone help you get ready" cause I guess no one else got to have anyone else backstage and then steve went nuts. I think Shawn was right on this one and it again proves to me that steve is one of those guys who tries to get his way by yelling and intimidating people, I can't stand that shit.

Yup. The placings were all fucked up. Milos Sarcev and Markus Ruhl
were very much underrated and were rarely called out for comparisons.

He has some serious problems. I don't think he is allowed into the states. He may be able to only to compete but i'm not sure. Problems with the law. If thats the case, he needs to really do well at this up comin Montreal Pro show. He will have his hands full as Darrem Charles is competing. On the plus side he has Muscletech as a sponser.

Also, Dan and Bob did an excellent job interviewing him and asking tough questions (regarding his "freeze", retarded posing and the whole racist shit).

Paul can definitely win the Montreal show, who's gonna stop him Tamali and his pencil thin arms?

Everyone has a distended gut nowadays, and Paul is just as huge as any of them.

Will he ever improve his posing, unlikely, but should still be good enough to win.

What show were you watching, I was a Dillet fan but there was no wa he was better than Ruhl that day.
