I totally agree Mindspin.

How hard is it to learn how to pose really?

I've taught several guys how to do it for shows even guys who were national level and were terrible terrible posers with basically zero body awareness.... even then 4-5 lessions were all that were needed if they listened properly.

Dillet says his shoulder problems hurt his posing but give me a break. If you can train you can pose end of story...

I agree, posing for mandatories should not be hard if you are at a level to compete seriously, now a good posing routine is different.............

Dillet could have had some awesome posing routines.

The problem was everyone was trying to get him to do fancy bob paris type moves which are a waste on him.

He needed to identify about 10-12 good poses for himself.

He could do a simple 2 full rotation routine the way Lee Haney did for 10 years+. ie. start with 2 front poses, rotate to the left and do 2 side poses, rotate to the left (now back to the stage) and do 2 poses, rotate to the left again and do 2 poses, rotate back to facing audience and do 2 poses. Second rotation would probably only comprise one strong pose in each of the 4 angles and then finish with a most muscular.

Maximum 2 minute routine. Leave the audience wanting more (how many guys overstay their welcome? yates always had the shortest routines)

He shouldn't do ANY kneeling or semi-kneeling poses at all. He is too tall to pull them off plus he has great legs so why bother.

step 1 would be to master the poses WITHOUT using a mirror only video.

step 2 would be to work on the transitions of which he is pretty bad.

Haney and Arnold were GREAT at transitions. Arnold was probably the best IMO. He never went from an arms down pose to another arms down pose without a full sweep of the arms to create the effect of more movement. How many guys do you see doing a most muscular but not doing a full sweep of the arms the way shawn ray did? most and it looks shit. Get those arms moving around more and then BAM hit the pose with force...

Dillett at the 99 NOC, came in soft, compared to his 1997 Arnold shape. He even said it was like a "guest posing". Ruhl or Dexter should have won it. I have the Flex magazine, and Shawn had said Ruhl should have won as well, he walked out right after the they announced second place

Paul had said "F**k NEW YORK", and explained afterward that crowd was talking about his mother, and the crowd didn't know  that she was there. Paul said this was the first bodybuilding show she has ever attending, and the fact he won (was given the contest) with his mother in the audience was special.

Paul had no visible straitions whatsoever. His chest were two brown blobs with a big worm hole running underneath it (his vein). He was hold ing more water than the Lake Ponchartrain Basin. How he won,  I don't know. That is like if  Lee Lebrada beat Flex Wheeler at the 93 Arnold, you would be scratching your head till this day.

Even though Paul can't pose, he is huge as hell. And pretty (as good as you can be) aesthetic at that size.

Rhul is just a jumble of bodyparts and synthol.

No way in hell he should have won.

He prolly should have beat dexter, but no way he could be the freak.

Dillet on a bad day beats Marcus on his very best day....Dillet is one of the most gentically gifted bodybuilders ever..Where ruhl on the other hand is just a collection of bodyparts.. :'(
