Arnold in Twins

has anyone checked out that movie lately?  its on amc right now.  arnolds calves are ginormous!!!  he really brought them up, especially in the later part of his career.  i keep reading him say it takes 500 hours of work to build calves like that. dayum!!

Arnold is a legit 6-2 and he looked really good in Twins.

He definitely looked 6'2, but I say it's due to questionable footwear.  A guy who is 5'11 can easily look 6'2 with the right shoes or boots.

Dude, can you direct me to that footwear. I'm 5-10 and I'd love to look over 6 foot!

ferrigno is a legit 6-3 to 6-4 and he is quite a bit taller than arnold in pumping iron.

I say 6 feet even.

i met arnie a few years ago during his rum for governor when he came to texas to visit bush.  i am 5'9'' and he looked a cool 6'1'' to me.  and he was still powerful.  he shook my hand and it was like a vice, then someone was going past behind me and he MOVED me out of the way like i was a 45 pound child.

Don't kid yourself - Arnold was always about projecting himself to be more than he was.  He of all people would be the type of insecure person who would wear big shoes to appear taller than he really was.  I have a picture of him and Frank Zane barefoot on the beach and he is not more than a couple of inches taller.

I've met Frank Zane....& even in his "older" age & in loafers....Frank is @ 5'10.  He looked to be the same height as me.

http://www.aldoshoes.com has some good ones.  I started to suspect Arnold was closer to 6'0 or 5'11 when a friend of mine who is 5'11 looked 6'2 one day and I asked him how he looked so much taller than when he was at the gym.  He told me about the shoes he got from Aldo.  The shoes or boots there can easily add an extra inch in height if not more.  Arnold just seems like the kind of guy who would claim to be more than he was, just like the 22.5 inch arm claim.  I'm sure his arms were closer to 20", based on Gunter's claim of having 23" arms in his Guntermania DVD.  Arnold could only dream of having guns this big:

I would bet everything I have he isn't a millimetre taller than 5'11.  Even at his peak, I doubt he was much taller.  It's a fundamental part of Arnold's personality to be the alpha type who does everything possible to project himself as more than he is.

I'm 6'-1 1/2" tall (186.6 cm). I met Arnold at the 2002 Arnold Classic and he looked to be about 2 inches shorter than me. Here's a pic of me next to Arnold:

This debate goes this way: those that are fans of Arnold, agree that in at least his prime, Arnold was 6'2". Those that arent Arnold supporters stay on the side that he's only 5'9" etc., etc.

What it boils down to is this; yes he's no longer 6'2". Having aged and taken part in an activity such as bodybuilding that compresses your spine, he is shorter and fully admits to wearing lifters in his boots. Or just wearing cowboy boots altogether to increase his height.

Steroids gave Gunter his size. I think Gunter's great but not that good a BBer.
