I.F.B.B pro division need a change

question for bob and shawn
i may be stupid here
but why dont you guys and other retired pro's run the pro divison
instead of these guy's who dont know any thing about how the pro division should be run for the pro's
like a better judging systerm,better prize money etc
so the pro's can make a living from the sport that we all love

$ is why they don't run it. they don't have them and the ifbb makes too much to give it all up.

I estimate that to start a new pro division that would survive long term it would take about 5 million dollars over 2-3 years - probably more.

You wouldn't see that money back for about 7-8 years though.

The top bbers would need to be put under contracts until the biggest sponsors came onboard with big money contracts to keep them - don't forget they wouldn't be able to guest pose at NPC shows at ALL.

You'd probably have a world wide 2 month "season of shows" building up to the season finale like formula one then everyone would be burnt out and need a rest for a few months before cranking it up again.

Who was the last IFBB Pro tested for drugs any drugs??Didn't know any testing was done but I am sure bob was tested before masters win.

Lee Preist says he has NEVER been tested for steroids during his whole career.

He says he was tested for duiretics and clenbuterol but forget the test included clenbuterol and had been taking it anyway.... he still passed the test (if it was ever sent to the lab...)

Drug testing in sports is a waste of time.

They should do a point system like NASCAR.  FOr every show you enter you get at least 1 point.  Then award points during the season to all the competitors depending on how they place at each show.  The winner at the end with the most points gets a huge check of at least $250,000.  it would encourage more participation and a chance for everyone to win a big paycheck.  Just enter as many contests you can and place and you have a shot.

Milos would have loved that system he entered almost everything but didn't Win.That concept would at least have alot more competitors in contests trying to get $$$$$ points for the end of the season.Good thinking.

The season would have to be short though.

Like football you couldn't expect guys to compete and travel every weekend for long periods.

I think about 8 weeks would be about it personally then they'd be wasted...
