  I did prefer Gary Strydom's DVD but that is only because it was pretty cool to see an older guy coming back to the stage to "do battle" (his words).  WTF, "do battle" LOL.  You ever notice the terminology that is sometimes used to describe bodybuilding or bodybuilders?  Like they are going to war or something, hahaha.

Even funnier, how Gustavo and Dex refer to themselves as "Pro athletes", not just athletes, mind you. 

Also, when Flex is doing one of his contest reviews/recaps, and he talks about doing battle, going to war, fighting up onstage, knocking out the champ, et cetera.......

Yes.  Athlete implies talent.  I also love when someone refers to any bodybuidler as talented.  Nothing against any pro, but the "sport" is diet, genetics, drugs, and oh yeah, lifting weights.  There is more talent in ping pong.

Yes.  Athlete implies talent.  I also love when someone refers to any bodybuidler as talented.  Nothing against any pro, but the "sport" is diet, genetics, drugs, and oh yeah, lifting weights.  There is more talent in ping pong.

You could argue both sides all day long because there are people competing against eachother and there are winners and losers just like any other sport. Is that enough to make bodybuilding a "sport" and the competitors "athletes?" I don't think so. If bodybuilding is a sport than the Miss America Pagent is a sport too.

Also, I don't understand why some competitors get so offended when people say bodybuilding isn't a sport and they are not athletes. I'm a competitor and I have no problem admitting bodybuilding isn't a sport and I'm not an athlete. I guess it just makes some guys feel more important I guess.
