DDV Copying Software problem.
« on: August 24, 2006, 03:55:18 PM »
I am currently using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter to decrypt and then copy original DVD's onto my hard-drive. However, I've noticed that it can't bypass the encryption codes in some movies to copy them. The software is free and doesn't have any online updates - does anybody know of any other programmes I can download to decrypt copy-protected software?
Thanks  :)

On the Mac we use Handbrake. It's free, it works great, and it has a great support forum.  You can use this program to rip DVDs and also customize the rip in terms of audio/video quality, file size, rip to ipod, etc.

A beta port to Windows is available... you can read about it here
