Due to personal issues, Kurt Angle has been granted an early release from his contract. WWE looks forward to establishing a new relationship with Kurt in the near future.

The only Olympic gold medalist in WWE history, Kurt Angle arrived in 1999 and quickly became one of the most decorated champions in sports-entertainment history. "The Wrestling Machine" is not only a six-time World Champion, but also held the Intercontinental Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship; he also won the 2000 King of the Ring tournament. Recently joining ECW, Angle’s unmatched intensity was rivaled only by his technical and athletic in-ring prowess.

i know he is getting divorced ..... and I think his soon to be x is pregnant has had a TON of injuries. The guy is held in high regard by the other wrestlers as a true bad as and awesome athlete.

You sound serious...you are aware of the fact that its all fake and planed in advance right?
Mentioning those "championships" he won is like saying Van Dam should go to prison because he killed many people in his movies.

Planned in advance--yes. Fake--no. Even though it is pre-arranged, you have to be able to work a match as if it is real. Get the crowd to react to your ability in the ring whether you're kicking an opponent's ass/getting your own ass kicked. Plus, if they're gonna put the belt on you--the company is hoping that you will able to put asses in the seats.

WWE wrestling is just a soap opera.. nothing more.

A testament to marketing and hype.

And a great way to keep idiots off the street.

In it's highest form what goes on in the ring is a sport as much as figure skating, but most of the time it's pretty shitty. And guys can be punished for performing too well.

Angle has mentioned gassing when wrestling Steve Austin. Where as Steve was fine. He said Steve could have had his way with him at that point. What a homo.
