Why would they use @yahoo e-mail address.. jeez. getting a domain and e-mail working is like $20. And to get a simple web page up is couple of hundred bucks.

These guys are really hurting themselves by doing that and looking extremely unprofessional.

Sometimes people do send me info when they have it and want it leaked without being attached to it.  But lately I've been pretty busy with web design and unable to follow the drama, gossip, etc.  Since I built some of their sites, I would hesitate before making any statements which could affect their bottom line, as I would with any client.  note that when Shawn said it was cancelled, I didn't poo-poo him - I asked him for a source of this information.  As he is from a competing federation and himself a promoter, I know he certainly knows the negative effects of rumors.

So in short, I dunno what the score with the PDI is.  I do know that several of my clients are dieting and trianing hard for it.   but none of us really ever know anything for sure, we just know what we hear and what we deduce.  Should be an interesting 2 weeks. 

Sad thing is, anyone who posts an incorrect rumor (like the kid saying Tj had cancelled the NOC right before Tj came on and said it was incorrect), there is no punishment.  They just log in with another 'insider' account and post something new.  This is why it's important to ask them for sources, which you can use to verify the validity of their info.

The NPC uses AOL as does Chic.  When people say something about an email address as being dumb, makes me think how dumb you are.  I have a yahoo email address and I do pretty damm good.  From all indications you guys think Chic is doing awesome, he uses an AOL address.  The NPC uses AOL too as does allot of major business. And it is obvious you don't know shit on what Wayne is doing.  When in fact he is promoting the show more than any other show.  WHat does a website do.  How many people who are on this board actually go to shows.  DO you have any idea how much local (New York) promotion is going on.  Over 20 gyms are helping him prmote the show including NPC members and promoters.  He has ads being seen in publications that put FLEX and M&F to shame in circulation and that is just in New York. Don't son he is doing what needs to be done.  If it don't work it won't be from a lack of trying or promoting.

I can personally say that I use AOL for my business, despite the fact that I own about a dozen full website packages with a ton of email accounts.  Why?

1- easier to remember X @ aol.com than X @ RobBuildsGreatWebsites.c om

2- AOL's function is way better than a godaddy box.  Easier to use, loads right up with AIM, etc

3- Privacy - self-explanatory. AOL spends a lot of money on security. I don't know what my ISP spends.  I go with the stronger security infrastructure.

4- Longterm - I have had this email addy for 7 years.  I will have it for 7 more.  if you need a website in 2015, you can still drop me a line and I can hook that up.  I don't want to have to keep renewing a site to keep my crappy email addy for a business which has changed its name

Meltdown of a century! I guess investing few hundred bucks to make you look like an actual business is a bad investment then. Thank you, Sherlock! You, PDI and 1980's will be an unbeatable combination. While you're at it, why not tell everyone where Wayne is putting that $300 instead of internet that gets PDI more results/credibility than a proper website would?
