I know this is old, but I just saw it a month ago and I just read the book a week ago.  Anyone else like it?

the book was great, too...only thing is, I thought his other books would be good, but they didn't catch my interest.  I want the DVD with all the extras, I will look for it on-line later

This is one of those extremely rare instances where the movie was better than the book.

I loved the movie but I was disappointed in the book.

You know, this is one of these rare movies which I hate but everybody else seems to love. It's the only movie I've seen that I have this attitude towards. I can understand the movie being better than the book but there are lots of films like that. American Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal spring to mind.
I don't really know why I hate it but I just didn't find it entertaining. Maybe I'll have to watch it again and give it another chance.

You can't be serious. You actually thought American Psycho the movie was better than the book?

Sorry, you lost all credibility. Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal are debatable but only because of Anthony Hopkins, even with him I think the books were far superior to the movies though but American Psycho, come on. They had to cut out the best scenes because of how graphic they were. The book was far superior.

Okay, it take it back about American Psycho - I just felt the book was too long-winded and didn't seem to end. It could have gone on and on with no end in sight. I was pretty young when I read the book and I actually saw the film first so maybe I prejudged it. I'll read the book again and see if I still have the same opinion.
