College Football thread: Is Tennessee awesome or was Cal overrated?

Texas looked pretty decent . . . of course they weren't really playing anyone.

UH played Bama very tough.  Came down to the last play of the game.  When Colt "Willie Beamen" Brennan threw up on the last drive, I thought we had them.  Almost every time he threw up last year he threw a TD pass (and he threw up on the field almost every game, which explains why he led the nation in TD passes).  Oh well.  No shame in losing to Bama at Bama by 8.  UH should have a great season.

yeah, that was a very creditable performance. Bama's not great this year, but they're always strong.

Tennessee is back!! I'm not saying that they will sweep the SEC,but I wouldn't bet against them either.

It was still a good win for the Vols, but damn the SEC is gonna be brutal again this year.  Even Vandy put up a decent fight with Michigan.

Vandy's probably still high from playing w the real Jay Cutler.  Michigan's defense can really be shredded, as Ohio State and others demonstrated last year . . . but they'll always have the mystique of the Michigan name to get them a good ranking.

Big Ten school = higher ranking and more Heisman votes because of the many good journalism schools they have.  Fact.
