Height and weight

Would you say a 5 8" guy at 180lbs  is relatively equal in size to a 6" 205lbs guy?

What do you guys think?

So a 5' 6" 160lbs bodybuilder = a 5' 10" 200lbs bodybuilder?

That doesn't seem right to me.

Then Flavio should weigh about 40 pounds.

It's not,and once again stupid information is passed on the getbig board.  for men over 6', researchers say that on an average build each inch will equal 10lbs.  Now for a bodybuilder, all bets are off.  Size, shape, bodyfat, etc. all come into play.  There is no formula.  Saying that a 5'6 160 lb guy is the "same" as a 5'10 200lb guy not only sounds dumb, it is dumb.

Well we're assuming that both have the same shape, so the the only variable is height.  Otherwise it wouldn't make sense.

hehe..  Yes he's 4'10" @ 145..  If he was 5' 10"  he'd look like a 265 pound bodybuilder..   That's about right..

145 +  (12x10) = 265

There is no way to determine this.

People have different Bone thickness and attatchments to bone and surrounding the bones making two people of the same height completely weigh different amounts, even with the same amount of relative muscle mass.

Bone Thickness will determine a lot of things.

Take two people of the same height with different bone thickness.  The person with the thin bones may in fact weigh less but have more LEAN BODY MASS, then a person of the same height with thicker bones and a bit less muscle mass.

If you assume the same shape, I would say your 10lbs is still way off.
But if you look at the class winners from the USAs,individually, and place those pictures side by side, you can see little difference in the physiques.  But if you place them side by side on-stage, the difference between each class is tremendous (perhaps with the heavy-superheavy being the least)

The height and weight goes out the window with bbing.u can have a 5'6 guy with good shape and conditioned and this day in bbing be a lightweight, middle, lheavy, even hvwght at that height all depends on how much muscle one can build or hold.

Food for thought.

Both Melvin Anthony and Gustavo Baddel are listed as 5'8"-5'9" and 240-245 lbs.

Would anyone think they weighed the same?

They both lie at about the same rate.  That much is true.

hahhah Melvin Claims a 27 inch Waist at 245 lbs.

Just pathetic.

I hope he gets Dialysys for his lies.

I agree, Melvino is probably exaggrating some. No way he weighs above 225 lbs in contest shape.

But remember that you yourself is claiming a waist of 29''.

You got a tight waistline, but no way it's under 31''.

Especially not with that back development of yours. Remember, Arnold had a 34'' waist at his best.

You should be ashamed of yourself for wishing that on someone.  From what I have gathered Melvin is a great guy.

I will prove that one false as well with a tape measure.

I cannot even buy pants anymore.  They do not make sizes below a 27 waist and a 34 Length for me.

It really sucks.  I have to get it all tailored.

If you're wearing 27" waist pants then you must have twigs for legs.. my waist is around 33-34" and I usually have to wear a 36" to fit my legs in, with a cinched waist.

Furthermore I wear clothes how they are supposed to be worn...Ones that fit on the waist.

Most people have no idea how awful fitting their clothes are.
