Popular Mechanic's just wrote an entire book dispelling this myth.  To believe that theory, you have to believe that dozens of people have been able to keep their mouth shut about a conspiracy like that.  Its nonsense.  The simply fact is that you had two planes filled with Jet Fuel literally melt the steel in the structure and it collapsed on itself.

The simple fact of the matter is that ther weight of floors above collapsed the whole building.  Why do you think that the second tower fell first?????  It was hit lower and the weight sitting on top of the impact zone was that much higher.

So, who was behind these conspiracies????  GWB????  That is utter nonsense.  9/11 was in the making at least since 1995.  Read the 9/11 report itself.  It gives some very good factual info.

I'm listening to the pop mechanics interview tonight.

He clearly says the entry hole at the Pentagon was 90 feet wide.  90 feet.

Pics clearly show that for 30 minutes after the crash, there was a 16 foot diameter hole.

how the hell do you mistake 90 feet for 16 feet?  Yes, after the roof collapsed a half hour later, the gash was wide, but even then, not 90 feet.  They're straight up lying.

OH- and the guy says that demolition crews NEVER use phrases like "Pull It".  But he insists it is used everyday by firefighters.  What fooking tools these guys are.

Do you realize how light the wings on a plane are compared with thick concrete???  The wings were likely oblierated instantly and there was not enough mass to break the concrete walls.  The nose and middle of the plane are where there was enough mass to break the wall.

You need to seriously open your mind to possibilites and physics other than merely just say conspiracy.

So how did a plane with a diameter of 25 foot drill a perfect 16-foot hole thru 3 newly reinforrced buildings, then vaporize?

The story sinks, my friend.

So now you are claiming that the military shot a missle through the Pentagon?  Who - the Air Force? Army?  Where is your evidience of a missle the way you claim some professor has evidence???  wouldn't there be evidence of a missle on the ground????? Fragments?  Give me a break.

There are actually still photos running around showing the plane impact the pentagon right before impact.  Are those fakes too?

Pentagon pics -
please show me a pic that doesn't say 'Sept 12" as the date, and show a fuzzy white spot, which took 2 years for them to comes up with :)

There was evidence that a penetrator missile was there.  It was carried away :(

If you are going to shed a tear for the 3,000 people who died here, I hope you don't forget to shed tears for the MILLIONS of people who have died at the hands of USA Imperialists (Hiroshima, El Salvador, Vietnam, Korea, Guatemala, Pilipinas, AFRIKA, Colombia...I can go on FOREVER with this list!!!). Don't believe the 9-11 propaganda people! The US Government committed those attacks themselves to fool "Amerikkka" into going to war with Afghanistan, Iraq and anyone else they wanted to!

You are one of the blind people I was trying to awake.  Wake up and stop believing in the media and like I said if you are going to cry for someone cry for the poor souls that the United States kills for practice.  Of course it is sad what happened with 9/11 but the U.S. did it themselves just to have and excuse to bomb another country.

Stop this rememberance bullshit.

The atomic bomb killed 100,000, mostly innocent people...that was ok though cause we pulled the trigger. ::)

This is the part that I find so incredibly offensive. Yes, 3,000 people died, ...and that was a horrible tragedy, ...but when I hear Americans albeit shellshocked saying things like 'This is the worst tragedy in the history of mankind', or 'This was the biggest mass murder in the history of mankind' etc., etc., ...you just want to smack them and say wake the f**k up and get over yourselves already!

I personally thought it was about time for the American public to wake up to the reality of day-to-day existance and for once to truly understand the pain of many people around the world from Britain to Palestine, South America, Israel etc. What a tragic, and unfortunate way to learn it. Although with statements purporting to make this the worst tragedy and crime against humanity etc., it appears many don't have a clue or any perspective on the situation.

No jackass, it was fine because it saved at least that amount of our soldiers and many more Japanese...

That's simply the BS propaganda your nation fed you to justify such unecessary cruelty. Truth is, after spending so much money on it, they wanted to test it out, but more importantly wanted to announce to the Soviet Union and the rest of the world they had the bomb. It was the Soviets the Japanese would have been engaging in a land war. Nuking Japanese cities also served to satisfy the bloodlust & thirst for vengeance that they so carefully cultivated within the populace.

Quote
since they were literally willing to fight down to the last man and were willing to sacrifice everyone in a land war

Furthermore, if that was the case, why did they not fight to the last man regardless, ...'cause it was only BS fed to you by your own government.

If the US government was really concerned about their military personnel, ...they would not have so easily sacrificed them at Pearl Harbor.

Quote
If its a matter of them or us dying, I pick them every single time.

That attitude is understandable, ...however it was NOT and still is NOT the case.

People like you make me laugh.  No matter what we do we get blamed.  If we do nothing we get blamed for letting people kill themselves, if we get involved, we get blamed for playing big brother.

During Clinton's term literally millions were killed in Rowanda by slaughter.  Where was the outrage over that?

Clinton launched an unprovoked war against Serbia?  Where was the outrage against that?

Clinton bombed Iraq many times?  Where was the outrage?

Nowhere because so long as it is a liberal committing these acts you are fine with it.

That was the rhetoric that was coming out in the days immediately following 9/11.
A few fools still parrot it today.  :-\

Today is the same exact weather it was then.
Quote
the weather was the same like it was on that day, i had to leave manhattan and walk across the george washington bridge...

NO, it was similar but not the same. It was appreciably warmer, summery with some humidity in the mid-80s rather than a coolish fall day this year, which would've made a big difference to firemen wearing heavy gear tromping up those stairs, to rescuers and to the many from the financial district tromping home over the bridges.

Huge psychological impact; i've never seen NY that quiet for that long. However it's true that in terms of sheer numbers this is nothing; we've been lucky and don't realize it.

What a waste that they didn't get Bin Laden at Tora Bora when they had him; the Iraq situation would probably have been avoided.

Quote

The problem is that we don't have the context then. First of all, the US would definitely have been a primary part of an invasion-the Russians only joined the war against Japan for strategic reasons, to secure those islands they've had until very recently, knowing that they'd hardly have to fight to get them.

Not such an easy decision-lose an estimate 100,000 US soldier fatalities, or bomb them. The ONLY thing that is inarguable is that they could've waited longer after the first bomb to try to get them to surrender, and that they could've done a demonstration offshore to show them what would happen. But again, that kind of demo didn't fit with the context of those times IMO. The fact that the even after the first bomb they didn't surrender suggests that they invasion would be costly, making the decision much harder, not a clear-cut advantage either way.
