I witnessed him win the overall at the Southern States in 1998 (?) in Miami or Lauderdale.
He flopped his quads back & forth, and the crowd went wild. Very impressive.
Actually-his upper body was not that small. It just looks small relative to those tree trunks he has for legs.

Are you suggesting he looked better in 1999? I'm inclined to agree. Beyond a certain point more muscle may be more impressive but it doesn't necessarily make for a more aesthetic physique. He's got a lot more muscle now, but he seemed to pass the aesthetic ideal (for his size and lbs) in 2000.
