1) We have some awesome sponsors. I mean, some of these companies are donating 500+ in free stuff and cash. I haven't calculated the final cash prizes yet, as there are some new companies I'm talking to (hint hint!) who could get some really good coverage by showing up with a reallllly nice prize this week!

2) We don't have much overhead- no auditorium, no hotel room and meal passes for judges.

3) There is no profit for the promoters. I'm building and hosting a really big interactive contest pic gallery where viewers can drag pics next to each other and make virtual comparisons, then submit their votes for that online voting thing. Mindspin is taking time from his escalade stock car racing to do all the planning and set up all the judging, rules, etc.

I *think* it's Satursday the 23rd we collect the pics, I have to get the gallery up by sinday at noon (for the world to see!) and all the judges send their votes to mindspin, and we announce it monday at noonish. I think.
