Thanks for the compliment, garraeth. I have been telling Romano and Cara from MD how talented of a raw unfiltered writer Special Ed really is. Even thought there are a plethora of honorable mentions here...Special Ed would probably be the ideal candidate representing GETBIG to pen articles or Q&A or just a simple keyhole view into the industry for MD.

I just remember the Poteats had MAD money and they didn't work - weren't they supposed to be heirs to Dow Chemical or something? When we were over there doing your cooking segment, you broke a bottle of GH of theirs by accident but I don't think it was a big deal, because they were straight-up rich. John, seriously...don't use someone like TA just because he's the loudest voice in the crowd. TheBlockHead and Ed are so elequent, creative, funny, and intelligent -- ask anyone on the board. Click their name(s) and check out all their past posts -- compare to TA (or don't) and I think you'll understand where I'm coming from.

Now...over the years and through trial/error and through expierence and self observation. I've come to find that when shooting for a 'position' or 'rank' or when trying to 'sell yourself' wether it is to a job for employment or to a girl for a relationship or for anythign els...it is ALWAYS best to NEVER EVER bash or put down the 'competiton'. The reason is...it is because YOUR status will be lowered and cheapened.

 If you are trying to lock down a relationship with a woman and another mans name comes up it is always best to say something positive. If you say somethign negative...your status gets lowered. Even if you do not like the person...then just say nothing at all.

 If at a job and you are shooting for a new position or promotion and the boss interviewing you asks why you would be a better person more fit for the opening than your fellow co-worker...and you bash or put down the co-worker? Guess what...the co-wrokers' odds are increased to be chosen now. Especially when he doesnt bash you.

 In sales it is the same thing. If anyone here works in sales will attest to never ever put down or bash the competition. it cheapens and lowers the status of the company or entitiy you represent.

I was training with Lyle when he was trying to make a comeback - right before he got sick.  86 or 87 I think. We wanted to do leg extensions and the machine he wanted to use was occupies by this little pencil neck.  He was just sitting there between sets hogging up the machine.  So, Lyle walks up to him and asks how many sets he has left.  The guy says, "I'll be done when I'm done."  With that Lyle said, "you're done now," and grabbed a handful of his shirt and yanked him off the machine.  The guy landed in pile on the floor about three feet from where we were standing.  Turned out the guy was a lawyer!!  He built an assault case against Lyle and sued him.  They settled out of court for $35,000.00!!  Lyle was such a hot head.  A week or two before that he was late for training because some idiot had cut him off and he chased him down, dragged the guy out his car widow and bitch slapped him - at least that's what he told me.

 3 yrs ago Gregg V used to tell some pretty good stories like this in his collumn. That was when I enjoyed his feature in MD every month.
