R-ALA and L-ALA and ALA is there a difference??
« on: September 13, 2006, 09:01:57 PM »
My friend found some site promoting this R-ALA saying its the purest form blah blah blah, personally I don't even think ALA is needed unless your dieting and are on a low nutrient diet but what the site was promoting caught my attention so I'm throwing it out to you guys.  Is there a difference between R-ALA and L-ALA and ALA or is it all bullsh*t or so insignificant that doesn't even matter.

CLA?  I thought we're talking about ALA
Yes, there is a difference. They are isomers of eachother and that may arguably make one more biologically active (less prone to deactivation and metabolism once it reaches the liver).
