I guess Shawn got in Flex's head by demanding a x-ray of Flex's "suspicious" calves. Shawn claimed they were implants and therefore was against the IFBB rules and wanted them x-rayed before the competition.

With that, Flex conjured up a hoax a ninjas car-jacking him and apparently wore a fake cast to the Olympia. I also heard that Flex was having trouble with his diet and could not get in shape in time thus conjurring up the infamous "ninja attack".

Did Flex NOT compete because of Shawn?

What baffles me is that how can a top-notch bodybuilder (Flex) allow ANYONE to get into his head? He has beaten Shawn for years so how did he allow Shawn to psyche him out of a potential 2nd place spot?
