Tell me Einstein, what year did the IFBB hold their first competition and exactly how many bodybuilders were there in the world at the time. And exactly what marketing avenues were available to them at the time?

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about when you mention a B.S. and the ease with which someone can start a company, that response doesn't really have anything to do with my earlier comments.

My earlier point was that we live in a world of endless marketing possibilities and instant information. The PDI not only has the benefit of an ex-IFBB official running it but it's also got the benefit of starting when it can be marketed in a million different ways.

When the IFBB started marketing consisted of newspaper, magazine and radio advertisements, comparing how the two started isn't really analogous.

As for why I care, well, I don't. I'm just making observations and conversations. I find it curious that even though everyone complains about the IFBB no one will support a competing organization. And to be honest using onlyme, 240 and Rhino as the point men for the PDI was a dubious business strategy.

While I don't think bodybuilding is quite as gay as you do I certainly don't follow it very much other than posting on this board. I called you a guy because you get so up in arms when someone criticizes the PDI. If you didn't care then you wouldn't care when someone was critical.

Whether the PDI succeeds or not really isn't of any concern to me, I will never go to one of their shows so ultimately I couldn't care less.

I also feel that the PDI will not achieve much success in the states, but may fare better in Europe and elsewhwre in the world.

The telling point to me was the proq - 14 people? With 8 cards available? That shows there is not much interest in the American amatuer ranks to gain a PDI pro card.

If they have no decent feeder options for the pro ranks, what are we supposed to be watching in LA, Vegas, Florida, Chicago? The same group that competed at the NOC? Or will Wayne simply continue to give pro cards to people that are *unable* to earn an IFBB one?

One mistake I perceive Wayne made - was not having a woman's division. He should have had figure. There seems to be a multitude of figure girls. Even though figure bores the crap out of me personally, it seems to be a 'cash cow'.
