armour thyroid

anyone have any experience with this form of thyroid?  my thyroid levels were in the normal low range and so i got prescribed armour thyroid, 30 mg pills.  apparently 30 mgs is about equal to 12.5 mcg of cytomel.  ive been on it for about 2 weeks now, i cant really tell if it is making a difference. does it take a while to kick in, is this amount actually good enough to increase my metabolism and at least get me into the high normal range?  thanks guys.

It's a "natural" form of thyroid.  It could take awhile to get the dosage right.  Your Dr. should have you scheduled within the next 30-45 days for bloodwork. 

I thought it was prescribed in "grains" not mcgs or grams  ???
