Anybody in or near Vegas
« on: September 21, 2006, 04:49:06 PM »
This is probably the one question that you never expected about Vegas.

Does anybody know of a quiet little lounge where you can just sit back and chat.
Not very noisy background and perferbly not crowded.
A good choice of premium liquor is a bonus (Lagavulin,  Woodford Reserve, etc...)

Don't ask why....  :-[

Yesssssssssssssssss!  Go to Charlie Palmer's in the basement of the Four Seasons Hotel.  Premium liquor and wine, nice and quiet lounge area...and I had the second best meal I've ever had in my life at the restaurant there. :D

I've only been there twice, but it was not crowded either time.

And within 3 posts we read the short story of good girl gone bad ;)  LOL

Personally I think you made the right choice, if this is the same guy from the other thread. :)

I agree place is pretty nice.  There is another place just off the strip, i'll try to remember the name.  I'll be there in a few weeks

Aah, Vegas. I miss that place - I was there last October for the Olympia Expo and I stayed at the Luxor hotel with my wife. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I walked in and looked around me for the first time. Had an excellent two weeks holiday there and was gutted when I had to go back to miserable Britain. Am supposed to be going back in May next year for another holiday. I'll check out that place in the Four Seasons Stella mentioned.

Mmmmmmmm...Vegas, the city that never sleeps. The place to visit but not to live. Thats what everyone I know says about the place. The lifestyle just sucks you right up. I'm from Toronto, Ontario born and bred.  ;)

I'd love to live in Vegas - excellent weather year round, the American way of life: I'd live in one of these gated communities near a golf course a few miles from the strip. Then I could have the best of both worlds - a quiet lifestyle in the suburbs, but when I want to party, just head down to the strip! Ain't got nothing like that in the UK!  :)
