Opinions on moving the prejudging to friday?
« on: September 24, 2006, 04:22:45 PM »
Any opinions out there?

For the competitors, it is easier or harder to compete when the prejudging and night show are 24 hours apart instead of 8 hours? Do you try toright hold your conditioning or do you try to "double" peak? I am not a BBer, so I don't know anything about the real-life nuts-and-bolts day-of-the-contest last-minute preparations. Could any of you competition savvy guys enlighten me?

There's a lot of variables on the chemical side of bb'ing, so i'm assuming it would be harder to compete in that fashion.

well one advantage at a show like nationals or usa would be the weigh ins...you can weigh in on thursday or friday morning....if a guy is in the light heavy class he could weight in flat on thursday at 198...by friday night show he could be on stage at like 206...so he is really a heavyweight in the lightheavy class...the guys who are at the top of their weight class will often do this.
