I just saw in a news report that the average American drinks 400 Cokes a year! :o

I began to wean myself off sodas in 1999.  I never buy it in the store and always look for alternatives (iced tea, lemonade, etc.) in public places like sporting events, bars, concerts.  Now, I have a soda (of any kinda) maybe once a month.  So, I have about 12 sodas a year.  Before 1999 I fell into the average.  :-[

How much soda do you drink in a month or year?

  I drink about 10 diet mountain dews a night at work.

 ;D some people say I am hyper. Not sure why.

ginger ale only and thats only about 1 glass a month i never had a tast for soda even as a kid.......

id drink probably 10 a week...more stacker 'stingers' and redbulls than anything else

Drink at least 1 diet Pepsi a day and occasiionsally drink regular Pepsi when I go out to eat, which isn't often. Used to drink 4 regular Pepsis a day!

I'm not a big lover of fizzy drinks, I do like coca cola though... lets see, in a year I will probably drink about 4 or 5 cans of the stuff. I drink a lot of isotonic drinks and water and many, many cups of tea.

I have a friend that drinks a 2 litre bottle of coke a day most days

In atlanta coke is king. I got here in 2000 and got addicted to them. Now im down to 1 a day with lunch and i alternate between diet and regular.

Maybe 3 or 4 a year, max, between September and December when I'm at football games with my kids.

400 cokes or 400 sodas? Either way it's way too high. Esp. considering it's an average and a lot of people don't drink any coke. Take away soda's (and orange juice, etc...), replace it by water and you'll solve half of the obesity problem.

I myself don't drink it that much. Probably 100 a year. When i go out, or sometimes at special occasions, like on a trip or something. Some diet cokes now and then as well.

I switched to diet pop 2 years ago.

Now I am switching to splenda only pop.

However I drink too much pop anyway.
Probably  1 can a day.
Although I drink at least 5 cups of coffee. Yikes.

so your substituting cokes ( SUGAR ) WITH LEMONDADE/ICED TEA ( SUGAR ) ???

well with iced tea you can leave it out if you wanted but lemonade eww.

Why are you asking this question?? are you going to give us some informative facts about drinking diet soda or regular? if not youre going to end up with three pages of people saying relatively the same thing..." x number of soda a day" or " only one soda a day" blah blah..not trying to be mean here but what is this thread going to do? are you taking a poll?

If I have one lousy coke, I'm fucked for three days while I pass a kidney stone.  Since I stoped drinking coke a couple years ago... ZERO PROBLEMS...
