I can only assume, but I think it wasn't so much an abandonment as a acceptable loss situation. They're under fire...keep going. They stop for one guy... they're all dead. Yeah i know u were defending the guy not KBR..ur right about why the guys didn't go back....they roll out of the kill zone and then figure out whats going on and then decide what to do. KBR runs all the firefighting and much of the ambulence services on many FOBS. There have been several cases where vehicles have been hit with IED's and guys were trapped and slowly burning to deah an KBR would not roll out..there is alot of animosity. One guy i knew worked for th department of State as security..he made 1 grand a day..they lost six guys so they earned it.
