Interesting video. Both Ron and Jay were very nervous before the announcement. Gotta say Bob Chick is a good announcer. A lot of people gave Jay a standing ovation and I couldn't hear any booing so it was, overall, a popular decision. Jay spoke well and thanked the right people and kept his hair. He said he was in a state of shock and I guess everyone will be until this sinks in. He forgot to do a back double biceps because that is the pose that separated the men. I think most of us are happy for Jay. When he first won a big show in New York people wondered if he deserved it. Well, he persisted and finally made his dream come true. He did say the obvious thing that the IFBB is where the Mr Olympia is. That is one thing no one can deny and it is the biggest contest in bodybuilding. Goodness me, do they have to award those stupid medals to these guys?
Somehow Jay won against the gigantic Ronnie, but it all seems like an anti-climax in a way. There really is no good way for the champ to lose.
