Jay was given Mr O out of Sympathy

Seriously he was not the best on the day, but he had come second the most in the past so the judges felt sorry for him.

I agree that Jay is my first choice for Mr Olympia but going by the criteria they've used for Ronnie he's is clearly the better of the two .

If you look at the pictures with better lighting you would see that Jay and Ronnie were VERY close.
It could go either way,with Ronnie looking sligthly better IMO.

But politics and other factors decided this Mr.O.

well Jay won the Mr. O. Thats that so as of right now, Jay is the best bodybuider ever. Holding a sandow is a BIG deal. Only 11 people on the face of the earth have one. so to say Jay isn't one of the Best BBers of all time is bullshit.

Ronnie is considered by many as the greatest for a reason because of 8 straight and his numerous wins but that was moot last night , for whatever reason he was way off and it cost him , I certainly don't think Ronnie is the greatest or Cutler , but Jay made history and no one can ever take that from him .

ND is absolutely right, Ronnie has no one to blame but himself, and I'm a Ronnie fan. You can only tempt fate so many times before you're going to get burned. Ronnie just keeps trying to come in bigger and bigger and his conditioning always suffers. He left the door open and Jay walked in. I don't like Jay's physique but he is absolutely dedicated to what he does and gets the most out his body. Hopefully next year the IFBB will finally start to enforce the belly mandate and a new era of bodybuilding can begin. Until then Jay's the champ.

If they do enforce it, Jay can kiss his Mr. O title goodbye and I think we all know that Ronnie is out of the picture. So that's where guys like Vic, Dex, Mel, Darrem, Richard Jones and Phil Heath come in

As much as I love Phil's physique, I don't believe IFBB will give the title to him in the next couple of years. He is a new kid on the block and they will make him work as to "their rules" saying his time will come and he needs to do this and that before he can enter the ranks of the greatest.

Vic, Mel and RJ, on the other hand, have been in the industry for a while and have the right package. Thus, I rather bet they would be the ones to mark the new start of the IFBB standards...

Naw, as good as Melvin is, I don't think he will win the O ever. At least not before Dexter or Victor. RJ, as pretty as his physique is, he will never win the O. Heath has a good chance of taking it in the next few years.

You would think with the knowledge of Jay and Ronnie that they would be able to keep the gyno away.As for the next Mr Olympia depends if they need more money from Europe if so give the O to a European guy.
